Seilatsatsi is inspired by a Basotho folktale once shared by elders with the young before bedtime. It tells the story of a beautiful woman, born through magic, with a sun upon her forehead, and bound by one rule—never to walk in the daylight.

Driven by love, she breaks this rule, and the very magic that created her turns against her. Yet the story does not end in loss, but in healing, as she is ultimately restored through sacrifice. The Seilatsatsi blanket carries this powerful narrative—a story of love, consequence, and redemption—woven into a design that honors the depth and wisdom of Basotho storytelling traditions.

Fabric: 50% Wool 50% Acrylic

Care: The best way to wash is to hand wash with coarse salt (the salt removes the dirt and keeps the fabric soft). However, it can be washed in the washing machine at a cool temperature - do not exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
